Data Retention & Storage
batjiil retains personal data for the minimum period necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, subject to applicable legal and regulatory retention obligations. The following retention schedule applies:
- Active Account Data (name, email, mobile, address): Retained for the duration of your active account plus a post-closure period of five (5) years. The post-closure retention period is required for anti-money laundering compliance and dispute resolution purposes.
- KYC & Identity Documents: Retained for a minimum of five (5) years from the date of submission, in line with Bangladesh AML regulations. Documents are stored in an encrypted, access-restricted document vault separate from the main platform database.
- Transaction Records (deposits, withdrawals, bet history): Retained for seven (7) years from the date of the transaction. This period is required by Bangladesh financial record-keeping regulations.
- Support Correspondence: Retained for three (3) years from the date of the most recent interaction, or for the duration of any open dispute, whichever is longer.

- Right to Data Portability: For data that you have provided to batjiil directly and that is processed on the basis of your consent, you may request that we provide it in a structured, machine-readable format (CSV or JSON) so that it can be transferred to another service if you wish.
batjiil will acknowledge all data rights requests within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 working days. Where a request is complex or involves a large volume of data, we may extend this period by a further 15 working days, in which case we will notify you of the extension and the reason for it. Data Security Measures
batjiil implements a layered set of technical and organisational security controls to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, destruction, or alteration. The key measures in place are described below.
Encryption. All data transmitted between your device and the batjiil servers is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher. Sensitive data fields stored in the batjiil database — including identity document references, KYC verification results, and payment method identifiers — are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption. Encryption keys are managed separately from the data they protect and are rotated on a scheduled basis.
